Gamma Media operates a private, single-user publishing tool for its own YouTube channel
(@gammamedia2004). This page explains
exactly what data that tool accesses, why, and what happens to it. There are no other
users, no accounts to create, and nothing is collected from visitors to this website.
Google API Services User Data Policy — Limited Use.
Gamma Media's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API
Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
1. What data is accessed
YouTube Data API v3 — public video metadata (titles, descriptions,
statistics, publication dates) to identify emerging topics in the AI and developer-tooling
field; and, with the channel owner's explicit authorisation, the ability to upload
videos to that owner's own channel.
YouTube Analytics API — aggregate performance statistics of the
owner's own channel (views, watch time, retention, traffic sources), used to understand
which of its own videos work and to improve future ones.
No data is accessed from any Google account other than the channel owner's own account,
with the owner's consent given through Google's OAuth 2.0 consent screen.
2. Why it is accessed
To detect topics that are gaining attention, using public information only.
To publish videos to our own channel.
To measure the performance of our own videos and improve them.
No other purpose. No profiling of third parties. No advertising use.
3. What is stored, and where
An OAuth refresh token, stored with restrictive file permissions
(mode 600) on a private server located in Switzerland, solely to perform the actions
above without repeated manual sign-in.
Public metadata snapshots (view counts, titles, publication dates) used to compute
trend velocity over time.
Draft and finished video files, and aggregated statistics of our own channel.
Data is stored on privately operated infrastructure. It is not stored in
any public cloud account, and it is not accessible to the public.
4. What is never done with it
Never sold, rented or traded.
Never transferred to third parties, except as strictly required to operate the
channel's own publishing workflow (for example, a text-to-speech or encoding service
processing a script we wrote — never Google user data).
Never used for advertising, retargeting, creditworthiness or lending purposes.
Never used to train generalised AI models.
Never used to determine eligibility for anything.
Humans do not read the data except where strictly necessary for the operation of the
tool, and no human reads it for any other purpose.
5. Retention and deletion
Public metadata snapshots are kept while they remain useful for trend analysis.
Access can be revoked at any time, with immediate effect, at
myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Revoking access stops all API usage immediately.
On request, all stored data — including the refresh token — is deleted within
30 days. To request deletion, email the address below.
6. Security
Credentials are stored with file permissions restricted to the owning account.
The tool runs on a dedicated machine; access is limited to the operator.
All API traffic is over HTTPS.
7. Children
This tool is not directed at children and collects no data from them.
8. Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with an updated date at the top.
